The Awakening of Graye Moon is finally here…

02 Nov

When I sat in front of my computer years ago and started writing a story, I never knew if I would ever share it with anyone else. I wrote for hours on end just because the story came to mind and wouldn’t go away. In the midst of my writing I also followed different groups as they talked about publishing and the transition to self-publishing. I then, while still writing, began thinking of the possibility of publishing. However, I knew it was a long shot.

In the back of my mind I had the hope that I would publish but never really thought that I would. That trepidation didn’t keep me from writing. So, when BrookLyn’s Journey arrived in the mail I was both elated and stunned. The Awakening of Graye Moon has left me feeling the same way. I can’t imagine this feeling ever going away and I don’t want it to. Publishing is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me and I hope I feel this way with each book. It’s a great feeling and I’d like to hold onto it!

The Awakening of Graye Moon is a story about friendship and what happens when feelings come into play. Sibling rivalry and bullying play a role as well. This story is a fictional story that is reflective of what some kids dealing with their sexuality go through. Like BrookLyn’s Journey the goal of this book was to entertain, educate and empower the reader as I did the main character. Some editing issues delayed its release. The computer refused to cooperate with myself and my editor. Finally, we prevailed. It’s on Amazon, Createspace, and Smashwords. It can be read on iPad, Nook, Kindle, Kobo, the computer or cell phone. Get your copy today!

I am donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Awakening of Graye Moon to LGBT homeless youth. I hope to donate copies of this book to their library also. I am working closely with this population and remain amazed at how easily parents discard their children because they’ve chosen to love. Thanks for all of your support!

Be on the lookout for a virtual book release party for The Awakening of Graye Moon. It will be happening soon…
