Blogging from A to Z for the month of April…

Attitude. Our attitude is directly related to the outcome of everything that we experience. It doesn’t matter how big or small the situation is our attitude definitely plays a role. Having the right attitude will bring you through any situation. When you report to a job that you despise everyday without a smile on your face each day will be miserable. If you change your attitude and report to the same job with a smile on your face and a pep in your step, you’ll see beyond your current situation. Our attitude can make or break a situation and it can also modify someone else’s poor behavior once they notice our response to them.

I have a friend that was diagnosed leukemia and was in a grave situation. You would never know that by her positive attitude and will to live. She faced her darkest hour and survived to bouts of leukemia. I have another friend that was a very athletic man but he now has limited mobility due to MS. He told me that he will get up out of his wheelchair and will eventually return to work. His attitude amazes me. Despite his physical complications his attitude remains strong.

We all know people who never have a glass that’s half full. It seems they thrive off of negativity. Those are the people we must strive to keep our distance from. Negative people love to have company and there’s no law that says we have to join them. It is our responsibility to stay true to ourselves and interact with positive people. You can hopefully shed light into the eyes of someone that only sees darkness but eventually their attitude will outweigh yours.

When you change your attitude you can sit back and watch things in your life change. I know this for a fact. On even my darkest days I see the sun before the rain ends… it’s all in your attitude.
