F is for fear…

06 Apr

Fear is something that we all experience and sometimes give too much power over our lives. I have recently tried many new things and actually laughed at myself for being afraid to try them over the years. The biggest one was getting a dog. He has helped me to be calmer around different dogs. There are a few dogs that I know I’ll never be calm in front of but I think it’s amazing how much I’ve changed.

We were in Charlotte today at a place we had seen on television waiting for our lunch. A lady crossed the street to make sure she didn’t walk near our dog. He was lying on the ground almost sleep. She said, “I don’t want to walk by that dog.” I chuckled because I had said this so many times over the years. When she walked in the street I said, “Before we got him I used to say the same thing.” She laughed and continued her walk. It was interesting to see myself in someone else. I conquered my greatest fear… dogs!

Facing our fears open our lives up to many things…

Great that this helped you conquer your fear! Dogs can be scary, even little ones that bark really loud!

I’m glad to hear you’ve been able to conquer one of your fears. Sound’s like Blue is going to be a great influence. I’m currently working on heights and snakes.

Funny thing is that I love snakes and heights aren’t too bad. I do NOT like any roller coasters or any rides. I carry the bags at every amusement park. LOL! Blue is helping me out a lot.
