Stacey’s pen name is Coffey Brown. She is originally from Orange County, NY and recently relocated to the Charlotte, NC area with her partner of fourteen years. She has been a social worker for over twenty years. Stacey received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Her graduate degrees were received at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ and New York University. Writing has always been her passion. In 2012, she had the courage to share her work with others. Stacey is currently working on various writing projects.

Stacey decided to use a pen name when writing LGBT fiction because she’ll be publishing in various genres. BrookLyn’s Journey, is her first novel and it was released in June 2012. Her second book, The Awakening of Graye Moon, was released in October 2012. They are both LGBT YA fiction. She hopes that her books are enjoyed and help young adults realize that despite the journey, life gets better. Follow her blog to stay informed of updates, prizes, giveaways and events. Add Coffey Brown to your list of authors. It’ll be well worth the add. Be on the look out for her next novel “Shayne’s Promise,” and her feature film, “BrookLyn’s Bridge.”

10% of the proceeds from Coffey Brown’s books will be donated to two LGBT youth homeless programs. The donations will be made to The Ali Forney Program in NYC and Time Out Youth in Charlotte. We can’t forget these children simply because they aren’t ours biologically. They are ALL our children…
